A simple analysis of the visual light curve of R CrB since 1843 has
revealed a 4400 +/- 400-day cycle in the sequence of visual light
minima. It has settled since the thirties of this century. Minima in the
second half of the cycle occur less frequently and are shallower. This
cyclicity may be due to variations of mass loss rate of the star.
