An analysis of multiyear neutron-monitor data reveals an 11-year cyclicity of the barometric coefficient beta of the cosmic-ray neutron component. Beta reaches its maximum near the solar minimum, and its minimum near the solar maximum. This phenomenon is interpreted by assuming a connection between the observed effect and 11-year variations of the cosmic-ray energy spectrum.
