The cyclic dependence of quasar brightness on the parameter ln(1 + z) is reported. A correlation analysis of quasar brightness and possible periods with respect to the function of the redshift is used to determine a most probable period of 0.19 to the variation. A curve relating quasar brightness to phase is presented, and it is noted that brightness variations do not exceed one magnitude. The occurrence frequency of quasars is also shown to depend on the phase of the period, and it is concluded that the cyclic variation of quasar brightness with a function of redshift is real. Implications of the results implying either the purely cosmological or completely proper origin of quasar redshifts are also indicated.
