Wide visual binaries consisting of a G or K giant in physical association with an F dwarf, observed using DDO and ubvy photometry, were used to study the possibility of mixing in the giants prior to or during helium core burning. The two abundance indices, delta m1 of the uvby system, and delta CN of the DDO system, are compared to study the possibility that mixing from a hydrogen burning region has affected the CN strengths of the giants.
