Yellow and blue photoelectric observations of CW Cephei are presented and new orbital elements are derived. The eccentricity of the orbit of CW Cep is computed to be e = 0.028, significantly smaller than the published spectrographic value. Variation of the orbital period indicates a period of apsidal motion of about 39 yr, the shortest one in the northern hemisphere. The absolute dimensions of this system contribute to the empirical mass-luminosity and mass-radius relations. CW Cep suggests a value of 3.0 for the ratio of total to selective absorption in the region of III Cep association.
