To improve the peak tagging and the extraction of stellar parameters in the future asteroseismic observations, we apply a new image processing technique, the curvelet transform, to filter the asteroseismic echelle diagram. It provides a contrast enhancement in noisy images with curved patterns. We show that the curvelet filtering of the echelle diagrams of a sun seen as a COROT target makes easier the tagging of the modes and the estimate of both the averaged rotation and inclination angle of stars.
