Scientific paper
The paper briefly reviews some problems of antenna-systems design for such applications as radio astronomy, space communications and radar. Particular emphasis is placed on techniques for the synthesis of antenna systems, and on problems associated with the design of phased array antennas. Consideration is also given to the development of antenna systems with signal processing and active arrays, and to the design of weakly directional antennas.
