Recent photometric studies of the globular cluster ω Cen have revealed evidence for multiple stellar populations. Possible scenarios for the formation of such an object include: (i) multiple stars formation epochs within a single object; and (ii) mergers of distinct low-mass, single population systems. In this poster we examine the latter scenario, by estimating the likelihood of merging of such systems within a larger galactic environment using both analytic estimates and N-body simulations.
