Salyut-3 cosmonaut P. Popovich reviews the Soyuz-17 - Salyut-4 flight. The astrophysical and terrestrial observation experiments are listed with X-ray and solar telescopes and a spectrometer. Electroacoustic measurement of bone tissue density EKG examinations and vestibular reaction tests were carried out using a rotating chair. An automatic navigation system was tested. The system, the "Del'ta," operates with an onboard computer which can make navigational calculations without ground control aid.
