We present our latest results of the application of the linear Karhunen-Loève eigenmode analysis technique to the measurement of the power spectrum of density fluctuations on large scales. We extend our previous analysis of low redshift (z ˜ 0.1) Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) galaxies to higher redshift galaxy samples in the SDSS. We attempt to use the increase in volume to resolve features in the power spectrum which can significantly increase our ability to constrain cosmological parameters. We also present our methods for using databases to prepare data for statistical studies and for spatial analysis of large random catalogs.
