We discuss the impact of SNAP for weak lensing applications in cosmology and large scale structure. We demonstrate the considerable technical advantage of conducting wide field lensing surveys in space, and how such analyses complement those probes based on distant supernovae. Weak lensing studies of the SNAP survey will indeed provide a direct measurement of the power spectrum and non-gaussianity of matter fluctuations in the universe. They will further allow direct maps of the dark matter distribution to be constructed with < 10' resolution. Survey strategies will be discussed in the context of the expected performance of SNAP.
