The present distribution of galaxies is estimated based on the linear growth of primordial adiabatic fluctuation in flat universe models dominated by dark matter. On the large scales, the canonical Press-Schechter (1974) mechanism is found to provide good agreement with observational data derived from luminosity functions of galaxies and clusters for all models considered, regardless of their chemical composition. On the small scales, the pure warm model best fits the observational data.
