IN the period July 1934-March 1935, we have registered the intensity of the cosmic radiation with a coincidence apparatus, kept the whole time in the same position. The counters were arranged with their horizontal axes vertically one above the other, so that the `field' of the apparatus was 400 square degrees. Nova Herculis was in the field of the apparatus from 16n 10m until 20h Om sidereal time (all time references are to mean sidereal time); in culmination it showed an angle of 1° 38' 50'' towards the south with the vertical line joining the axes of the counters.
