Cosmic ray current properties in a period (1965) of low solar activity
are compared with those in a period (1968) of high activity. Hourly
cosmic-ray current values obtained by global survey methods are
analyzed. The noticeable differences observed are discussed, and
tentative explanations of their causes are attempted.
