Intradiurnal variation in the earth's rotation is investigated statistically using the 11-yr series of observations compiled by Pil'nik (1984). Waves of variation with period 159.566 min are found, and possible connections with the 160.01-min global oscillations of the solar surface and/or the 169.96-min period of Geminga gamma-ray emission are considered. The use of more accurate VLBI time determinations in further statistical analysis is suggested.
