The relationship between the stellar and nonstellar objects in the region near the main crest of Loop I in the north-polar spur is investigated on the basis of the star counts of Anisimova (1983), to V = 9.0 mag in the SAO catalog (Ochsenbein, 1980). Correlations with r = 0.2-0.98 are established between the star distributions (of all stars and of the A0-A2 stars) and plots of 240-MHz brightness temperature as a function of Galactic longitude (Haslam et al., 1964). These findings are seen as strong arguments in favor of the existence of a stellar component in Loop I.
