We have compiled a database of over 1100 BATSE gamma-ray burst (GRB) pulses that verifies the general interdependence of GRB pulse properties: pulse durations correlate with pulse peak lags, pulse peak intensities, and pulse peak asymmetries, and anti-correlate with pulse hardnesses for most pulses. For most pulses in the Long GRB class, where pulse peak lags also inversely correlate with pulse peak luminosity, these measurements support the idea that relativistic effects in the jet dominate observationally over cosmological effects. An understanding of GRB prompt emission physics thus hinges on modeling and explaining these simple pulse correlations.
