The HEAO-3 heavy nuclei experiment yields the abundances of many individual elements of even atomic number (Z) in the interval 26 ≤ Z ≤ 58. The cosmic-ray-source (CRS) abundances, which have been derived from these observations using standard propagation models is compared with solar-system (SS) abundances. The correlation of the CRS/SS ratio with first ionization potential is presented.
