The correlation method for processing the Irkutsk Incoherent Scatter
Radar (IISR) data and the method for calculating the ionospheric plasma
drift velocity are described. The properties of the complex
autocorrelation function of an incoherent scatter signal are considered.
The IISR data for September 2005 are analyzed.
