At angular distances greater than 0.4 deg of arc the correlation
functions for counts of galaxies brighter than 19-21 mag reflect mainly
the properties of interstellar matter in the Galaxy. The statistical
sample examined shows hardly any sign of systems whose angular diameter
exceeds 1 deg of arc.
