A comparison of X-ray and optical observations of the variable Seyfert
galaxy during 1971-1976 reveals a correlation for both the slow and the
fast components of the light curves. The optical variability may lag
that in the X-ray range. The X-ray variability has a larger amplitude
and a shorter time scale.
