The location and shape of the magnetopause were studied as functions of the solar-wind parameters, using data of Prognoz 7, 8, and 10 (124 crossings). Correlations were found between the magnetopause location, the velocity and particle density of the solar wind, and the Bz component and amplitude of the interplanetary magnetic field.
