A general formula is given for the zenith attraction of meteor radiants
which is valid for all meteor zenith distances. The accuracy of the
Schiaparelli formula used previously is evaluated. It is shown that it
is quite accurate for fast meteors, and may give errors of several
degrees for slow ones.
