Here we give quantitative measures of the effect of dust on the exponential scalelength of disk galaxies, expressed as the ratio of the apparent scalelength (i.e. that obtained by fitting images of dusty disks with pure exponential disks) to the intrinsic scalelength (i.e. that which would be obtained in the absence of dust) as a function of opacity, wavelength and inclination. These corrections have been derived from the simulated images presented in Tuffs et al. (2004).
