Two effects of the corotation resonance on the chemical abundance pattern are considered: i) its influence on the galactic enrichment by heavy elements and ii) the break of the linear radial abundance distribution due to large stellar wandering over the galactic radius under the resonant influence of the spiral gravitational field in some vicinity of the corotation. Both the effects lead to bimodal radial abundance pattern.
