Results are presented of aircraft-based observations and ground observations from multiple stations, made during the July 1990 eclipse. The main results of the analysis of the large-scale features of the inner corona concern the measurement of the flattening index of the near-maximum-activity corona; the occurrence of a large coronal hole; and the importance of the line emissions recorded on the broadband white-light pictures, due to the presence of numerous large or faint prominences all around the limb.
