Aperture spectroscopy and CCD images of two new luminous IRAS broad emission line AGN - IRAS 04493 - 6441 and IRAS 22419 - 6049 - are presented. Physical conditions are derived for the narrow emission-line regions and are compared with those of ultraluminous IRAS AGN. The deep CCD broadband images show starlike nuclei and their host galaxies. FIR data are also used to analyze these objects. High-excitation emission lines and optical and IR features characteristic of starburst in the two AGNs are detected. Evidence is found to the effect that these two IRAS AGNs have physical conditions similar to those of ultraluminous IR AGN with high ionization, where the central luminous nonthermal continuum source is dominant. The obscuration of the nucleus and the starburst is found to be smaller than in the ultraluminous IR AGN.
