By studying the trends and possible intrinsic dispersion of element abundance ratios in extremely metal-poor (EMP) stars it is possible to uncover information about the degree of homogenization of the early Galaxy, how the Galactic mixing processes behaved with time, and to test theoretical models predictions (e.g. Type II supernovae yields). Here, we report on the preliminary results of a new study of copper abundances in a large sample of metal-poor stars.
