For the preparation of astronomical geodetic grids, it is recommended that a geodetic coordinate system be established which gives the coordinates of one point (its astronomical latitude and longitude at a given moment in time) and the astronomical longitude of a second point on the parallel of the first at the same moment in time. It is shown that the choice of such a coordinate system allows measurement results to be related to a single moment in time and eliminates the influence of variations in the earth's gravitational field.
