Saakian and Grigorian (1977) have derived a new equation of state, in the form of a relationship between mass density and pressure, in the relativistic theory of superdense stars. In the present paper, the parameters of stars consisting of a degenerate neutron gas, calculated on the basis of the new equation of state with allowance for the pionization effect and the incompressibility of nuclear matter are examined.
