Celestial Mechanics: Precise Orbit Determination, Slr, Artificial Satellite: Champ

The contribution of accelerometer data on CHAMP to SLR POD (Precise
Orbit Determination) is estimated by some examples. In this paper it is
showed that RMS of SLR residual decreased from 16.5cm to 2.7cm by
replacing non-gravitational data with accelerometer data, contrasted to
precise orbit, satellite position error decreased from 18.9cm to 6.2cm.
