The statistical properties of 600 large-contrast craters were studied. The albedo and contrast of craters was measured from a lunar photograph in the 0.62-micron region of the spectrum at a phase angle of 2 deg. Relations are obtained between the albedo of craters and the albedo of the surrounding lunar surface, between the contrasts of craters and their dimensions, and between the contrasts of craters and their age.
