The relation between Seyfert galaxies (SG) and star burst galaxies (SBG) was investigated. A high resolution spectral survey indicates that there is no clear distinction between SBG and SG. There seems to be a smooth transition from SBG activity to SG activity, as detected in the increased velocity space and increased intensity of the emission lines while the transition goes from SBG to SG.
