A brief survey of current problems in the polarimetry of airless cosmic bodies is presented. Attention is given to the distinctive features of the phase motion of negative polarization; the relationship between negative polarization parameters and other optical characteristics; and the effects of surface structure on negative polarization in airless cosmic bodies. Regional variations in the second Stokes parameters of the moon, the earth surface, and other hard surface solar system bodies are also considered.
