A method of constructing the theory of motion of artificial earth
satellites in coordinates, with the solution of the problem with some
Hamiltonian being used as the intermediate orbit, is discussed. An
example of an intermediate orbit allowing for secular perturbations from
the second zonal harmonic is given.
