We set up a formalism that generates R2×S2 static wormhole spacetimes (M,g). We are assuming that the magnitude of the timelike Killing vector field is uniform over the throat but its gradients is non vanishing on the throat. These conditions imply that a vicinity of the throat can be foliated by a family of closed regular two surfaces and relative to this foliation a (2+1+1) decompositions of Gμv = k̂Tμv yields a set of constraints eqs and a set of dynamical eqs that propagated the intrinsic metric, extrinsic curvature as well as the matter variables of the throat.
