I show that the Regge theory and the crossing-symmetry principle of the strong interaction can be used to predict the decay widths of several isoscalar tensor mesons. The full decay widths of the f_2(2010) and f_2(2150) mesons, as predicted by the theory, are in good agreement with the data. On the other hand, the theory predicts that the width of the ξ or f_J(2220) meson is at least 135 MeV, much greater than the reported 22 MeV [1]. Because a broad width of ξ is consistent with the non-observation of a narrow resonance structure in the mass region of 2220 MeV in the pbar-p experiment[2], repeating the measurements[1] of the width of the ξ will be of great value.
