I will present early results from the GOODS study of the Hubble Deep Field North with Spitzer/IRAC. The IRAC data span wavelengths from 3--8 micron, and observe the rest--frame near--infrared emission from galaxies at z ˜ 0.5-5. The IRAC data coupled with deep, ground--based and HST data probe the galaxy spectral--energy distributions from rest--frame UV to near--infrared wavelengths, and provide a full panchromatic view of the stellar emission from distant galaxies. I will discuss the constraints on the total stellar masses of galaxies using this dataset, and I will present implications for the evolution of the global stellar--mass density of galaxies at z ˜ 0.5-5.
