We model the NFW potential to determine if, and under what conditions, the NFW halo appears consistent with the observed DensePak IFU velocity fields and rotation curves of low surface brightness galaxies. We simulate both axisymmetric and non-axisymmetric potentials that are well-matched to the velocity range and spatial resolution of our sample galaxies. We find that the velocity field produced by an axisymmetric NFW potential can be accurately reconstructed by the DensePak IFU and that the corresponding NFW rotation curve can be recovered by a tilted-ring fitting program. We also find that non-axisymmetric potentials with fixed axis ratios are unable to simultaneously bring the mock velocity field and rotation curve data at both small and large radii into agreement with observations. These potentials change only the normalization of the mock velocity fields and rotation curves and not their shape.
