We present the results of dust continuum and molecular line observations of the cluster-forming clump NGC 2264-C (d≃ 800 pc), performed with the IRAM plateau de Bure interferometer. Combining these new observations with previous IRAM 30m observations allow us to probe the kinematics of this filament up to a spatial scale ≃ 3000 AU. In order to set constraints on the initial conditions of the global collapse of NGC2264-C, we perform hydrodynamical simulations (SPH) and process them to be directly comparable to the observations. This work gives us crucial hints concerning the star formation processes in massive (M=1600 M&sun; in D=0.8 pc) protoclusters.
