Solar Radio Bursts: Brightness Temperature, Solar Microwave Bursts, Solar Radio Bursts: Relativistic Particles

Scientific paper

The authors discussed a solar radio burst event in 1993 at frequencies 2840 MHz to 2545 MHz and confirmed that some of these bursts were microwave type III bursts. They believe that these type III bursts were stimulated by a bunch of relativistic electrons and their speed reached to 1.0×108m/s. The temperature and size of the source area were about 3×107K and 3.4×102km, respectively. The brightness temperature of the burst was about 1012K.
