The electroconductivity of the earth's interior in the region of the equatorial electrojet was studied on the basis of satellite and rocket data. The actual current distribution in the electrojet was taken into account, and the analysis was made in the framework of a power-law model of terrestrial conductivity. Results confirm the presence of a well-conducting layer in the electrojet region in Peru.
