Spectra of Nova Del 1967 obtained during the premaximum stage are analyzed using the curve-of-growth technique. It is shown that the excitation temperature in the nova shell increased monotonically during this stage. The turbulence velocity is determined to be several times lower for Fe I than for ionized metals, and relative chemical abundances are estimated. It is found that the abundances of 12 elements do not differ from the solar values, chromium is deficient relative to the sun, and the relative abundances of nitrogen and oxygen are enhanced. It is concluded that the shell abundances of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen may have changed during the premaximum stage.
