A formal method for constructing conditionally periodic solutions of canonical systems of differential equations in the vicinity of a commensurability of frequencies is proposed. The method is a combination of the rapid-convergence method and the Delaunay-von Zeipel method of canonical transformations. For successful application of the method, steady-state resonant solutions to an averaged system of differential equations must exist.
