The paper examines the characteristics of the plasma shell boundary of Venus, produced by the interaction of the solar wind with the planet's ionosphere. A mathematical model of plasma flow past bodies is used to provide an analytical description of the magnetic boundary of Venus, and theoretical calculations of the characteristics of the boundary are compared with experimental data.
