The reflection of a shock wave from a rigid plane surface is computed on the basis of an explosion model with a simple energy dissipation mechanism (radiation is accounted for in the radiative heat conduction approximation). Pressure distributions over the surface and the flow pattern in the incident and reflected wave propagation region are obtained.
