Comptonization is understood to mean the changes of the emission spectrum, caused by scattering by electrons. The role of Compton scattering in the formation and evolution of the emission spectrum in a low-density plasma is studied analytically. The distortions of the spectrum of blackbody (relict) radiation, caused by interaction with electrons whose temperature differs from the emission temperature is examined. It is shown that the formation of the blackbody emission spectrum in a homogeneous low-density plasma under the combined effect of photon-production processes and Compton scattering proceeds by the same sequence as the formation of Bose-Einstein spectra, the chemical potential decreasing with time.
