A systematic re-analysis of all observations with the blazar PKS 0208-512 in the COMPTEL field-of-view has been performed. Evidence for a possible spectral peak in the MeV band has been reported previously using data from two observations during May and June 1993. When excluding these observations, we clearly detect a low flux from PKS 0208-512 using the summed data from the remaining eighteen observations. It was also found that the detailed results with respect to the possible MeV peak depend on the range of measured photon scatter angles applied during the background estimation. The impact of this increase in the measurement uncertainties on the interpretation of the data are discussed.
