The authors apply the spherical harmonic method (SHM) to calculate the comprehensive ocean loading parameters. Their calculation covers 11 VLBI sites in east Asia and four tidal constituents M2, S2, K1, and O1 of Schwiderski's ocean tide chart and the Japan Sea. The loading mass convolution with Green's function is performed by using the load Love numbers of Pagiatakis' earth model. The authors demonstrate high performance of the SHM and discuss general requirements for ocean tide model accuracies.
