INAA and RNAA are used to determine the concentrations of 30 elements in 34 replicate samples from 17 enstatite chondrites. The results are presented in tables and graphs, characterized in detail, and analyzed to elucidate the formation mechanisms involved. Features noted include no compositional differences between unweathered EH3s and EH4,5s (suggesting that metamorphism in EH4,5s is responsible for phase-composition differences), lower La/Sm and higher Co/Ni ratios in ELs than in EHs, a fractionated refractory lithophile abundance pattern in ELs relative to CI, and EH and EL Au/Ni ratios 1.4 times those in CI. These findings are found to be consistent with enstatite-chondrite formation in the innermost solar nebula.
